This past weekend, Old Spice teamed up with Tough Mudder to celebrate the new Hardest Working Collection as well legendary endurance and teamwork at the 10 mile obstacle course in Western Kentucky. Check out our expedition with Old Spice!
It’s undeniable Old Spice has a considerable legacy, starting as a nautically inspired cleansing product in the early 20th century, then making its way into the households all over the world as a critical part of the true man’s morning routine. Today, Old Spice is the signature provider for men who want to feel great and smell legendary, be it deodorant and antiperspirant, to haircare and style. Old Spice, endlessly trying to improve on their formula, presented the new Hardest Working Collection not long ago. It’s the most ambitious attempt to smelling great they’ve ever made. How does Old Spice test this? How can Old Spice make sure this is achieved?
Enter Tough Mudder- the brainchild of Will Dean, a Harvard Business School graduate, an 10 mile obstacle course, designed to test one’s limits of endurance, assistance, and humility. But for Old Spice, it’s the perfect chance to test the power of the Hardest Working Collection.
Old Spice took on the Mud Mile 2.0, which was the perfect opening obstacle and test for the Hardest Working Collection, a series of waves of mud and water; steep mounts that require teamwork and legendary strength. Team Old Spice proceeded to make its way around the 10 mile course, tackling a variety of obstacles. At the very end, facing the legendary Electro-shock therapy obstacle, where 50,000 volts touch the runners, Team Old Spice was up for the test. The host lifted an arm and took a sniff of the Hardest Working Collection. Conclusion? Team Old Spice was definitely the best smelling team all day.
Of course, legendary ‘Old Spice Guy’ Isaiah Mustafa was right there the whole time, cheering on Team Old Spice (and playing role of towel guy, cleaning mud out of eyes and ears) as well as a taking a run at the Pop & Lock obstacle, which involved heroic strength.
Post Tough Mudder, Old Spice provided rinse stations and changing areas to help guests clean up and smell legendary. Also available to Tough Mudders, Old Spice provided its Odor Blocker Anti-Perspirant and Deodorant with its best protection ever, as well as a Sweat Defense Deodorant, which is the gold standard in men’s grooming.
