EFM- Engineered For Motion – Donrad Duncan presented his Spring/Summer 2017 collection at the Cadillac House on Tuesday.
EFM’s third time at NYFW: Men’s and first runway show ever. Duncan said the inspiration for the looks came from the desire to be outdoors adding, “Spring and summer are seasons that inspire freedom, movement, and comfort. You shed anything that restricts or confines. After a long winter you want to be in the light and dance.” The hair presented by AXE was inspired by the “urban hero.”

The collection showcases a unique, gray, pixelated take on camo. The techy take on camo appears on jackets, blazers, shorts and button-downs. Along with blazers and suits the collection also includes cardigans and has an overall young professional vibe bordering on preppy. The models shared a painted-on black choker giving these hip professional types an edge. Duncan aims to reimagine sportswear by tailoring men’s looks into luxury sportswear.
Celebrities who attended the show included Tony Award winner Cynthia Erivo, Colton Haynes, Corey Michael Smith, Joseph Sikora, J. Balvin, Dwayne Harris and Shabazz Muhammad. In 2016 Donrad Duncan won the Rising Star Award for Menswear by The Fashion Group International.
