New York Fashion Week has finally kicked off, which means some of your favorite celebrities are here for the week braving the cold weather to sit front row at shows for some of the biggest names in fashion.
On Friday, Dozens of influencers and fashion lovers gathered at Industria Studios in the West Village for the NYFW debut of Fashion Hong Kong’s Fall/Winter 2019 collection. Presented by The Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Fashion Hong Kong is a group of some of the most popular fashion labels by the hottest fashion designers hailing from the populous city in China. The labels in this year’s show were Anvenglosa, HEAVEN PLEASE+, and 112 Mountainyam.
112 Mountainyam, led by designer Mountain Yam, opened the show with his line of womenswear. The collection explores a combination of menswear and womenswear, as well as sportswear and party wear with a pop of vibrant colors to brighten up the neutral toned pieces.
Anvenglosa followed up with all black, leather pieces detailed with lace and mesh fabrics. Designer Annette Chan was inspired by style and practicality for her line, resulting in both comfy and an edgy and chic, yet elegant collection of pieces.
HEAVEN PLEASE+ was started by designers Yi Chan and Lary Cheung, who closed out the show with their womenswear line of abstract elements such as various asymmetrical layers, floaty textures and silky fabrics.
