Celebrating a borough that has one of the best food scenes in the country
Last week, the New York City Wine and Food Festival made it’s round back to NYC with a slew of fun foodie events. We had an opportunity to check out one of their events, the Best of Brooklyn event hosted by Brian Lindo. Brooklyn has blown up as the borough with some of the most delicious and innovative food. So in the spirit of that, NYCWFF and Brian Lindo wanted to showcase some of Brooklyn’s best during this night for fun.
Some of the food vendors that were featuring their world famous dishes include favorites like Falansai, Red Hook Tavern, and Ensenada. During our time at this event, one of our absolute favorite dishes was one that has blown up during the pandemic, Pecking House. Eric Huang and his spicy fried chicken packed so much flavor and heat into each small bite. The chicken was juicy and the spices were oozing off of the chicken as you dug in. It was definitely a fan favorite throughout the night.
At the event, guests were also able sample some delicious spirits and drinks thanks to some of Best of Brooklyn’s sponsors. Guests had the chance to cool down with some Acqua Panna water, enjoy a cool Modelo, try some amazing wine from The Pale, or try some whisky on the rocks or neat thanks to WhistlePig Whisky.
