The annual Vetty’s gala will take place on January 20, 2018 in Washington D.C.
The Veteran Awards honor the relentless dedication and selfless service to veterans and their families.
The 3 rd Annual Veteran Awards will be hosted by CNN’s Jake Tapper on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at The Mayflower Hotel in Washington, D.C. Presenters will include former Army Green Beret and NFL player Nate Boyer; Shohreh Aghdashloo of Syfy’s The Expanse; Anne Heche, Mike Vogel and Sofia Pernas of the hit NBC series The Brave; and Matt Barr of CW’s Valor.
The black-tie gala will honor Dustin Perkins, Director of Marketing for Student Veterans of America – Illinois with the Veterans Education Awards; Guardian Angels Medical Service Dogs, Inc. with the Veterans Mental Health Award; Bunker Labs with the Veterans Employment Awards; National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP) with the Veterans Community Awards; and Sarah Verardo, Executive Director for The Independence Fund with the Veterans Leadership Awards.
The honorees will be presented with a coveted Vetty statuette, custom- designed bronzed military boot placed on a sturdy base that signifies the boots on the groundwork of the Veterans Service Organizations. The base of the Vetty’s statuette represents such organizations and individuals that demonstrate a strong foundation.
