The My Little Pony franchise has released its third film in the Equestria Girls series, My Little Pony Equestria Girls Friendship Games.
The full-length animated feature film is animated by Hasbro Studios and the soundtrack is released by Sony Music/Legacy Recordings. The global digital release of the My Little Pony Equestria Girls Friendship Games soundtrack was released in conjunction with the film. The album includes ten original songs from the film from the same award-winning creators of the soundtrack of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series. The film had its world premiere in New York City on September 18, and rolled out a purple carpet in celebration for the event. Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nick Cannon, Padma Lakshmi, Jim Gaffigan, Tiki Barber, Nigel Barker, Drea de Matteo, and Tracy Anderson were in attendance, among other celebrities whose famous families joined the premiere screening event Thursday at the Angelika Film Center. The film exclusively premiered on television on Saturday, September 26 at 8/7c on Discovery Family Channel. The movie will be released in stores on DVD and Blu-ray from Shout! Factory Kids, and available for digital download on iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon on October 13.
