For the first time ever, Mr. Porter hosted a block party extravaganza occupying six blocks of Crosby Street collaborating with Jean Shop, Miansai, Fellow Barber, and Saturdays NYC in celebration of this years New York Fashion Week: Men’s.
From four to eight, Crosby Street was bustling with fashion week enthusiasts outside New York City’s heated summer. The block was filled with activities from DIY tie-dye denim and bandanas to temporary tattoo application; guests cooled down with gourmet Hennessy Vanilla, Mint Chip, and Vietnamese Coffee ice cream sandwiches from Morgenstern’s Finest Ice Cream and specialty cocktails.
Each block featured a themed activity such as “Clean Ups and Styling” where guests were treated to complimentary haircuts from Fellow Barber, chicken wings from Speed Romeo BBQ, and frozen gin and coconut cocktails from Mr. Fong’s. Next door, Miansai’s flagship Soho store offered delicious sweet cocktails made from honeycomb and gin, shoppable displays of their merchandise, and a lively backyard filled with games, mozzarella plates, and music.
Invitees socialized using every corner of the tightly packed venue, from waiting for a pork tacos from Tacombi to standing in line for a drink, definitely marking a memorable end to this years Men’s Week.
