This Thursday, Moët Hennessy invited us for a unique crafting experience at Roche Bobois in New York City. An exclusive preview of Moët Hennessy’s Icons Gift Collections was presented with a selection of the house’s iconic champagnes, wines, and spirits, along with canapes. The interactive experience spanned the main floor of the luxury Parisian furniture retailer.
In partnership with Clos19, the online lifestyle marketplace offers a vast portfolio of the brand’s finest icons such as Dom Pérignon, Moët, Veuve Clicquot, Hennessy, and more through services and products. Clos19 offers unrivaled experiences such as private dinner packages in prestigious galleries complete with BMW 7 series chauffeur service and custom engraved Hennessy Paradis Imperial carafes, Taste New Zealand’s Natural Wonders packages with private jet transfer and helicopter tour over fjords, and Ultimate Scotland Weekend packages with gastronomic tasting menus.
The Roche Boibois floor was designed in sections, each tailored for a special occasion featuring a drink to complete the decor, such as a Moët tower with full champagne service, a fleurage shelf lounge dressed with vintage bottles, a charcuterie table featuring Smoke Tree wines, and a unique crafting experience with custom haikus printed on a typewriter.
Representatives highlighted gifts appropriate for every occasion, for example, Dom Pérignon Vintage 2009 perfect for graduations or milestones. A personal favorite was the Krug Grande Cuvée (cuvée meaning blend) for its crisp taste that goes well with any savory food palette and appropriate for a myriad of occasions to make a great impression. In addition, The Krug Grande Cuvée is combined with over 183 wines from 12 years, delivering a full body experience throughout each glass.
As a finale, guests were treated to a three course tasting consisting of Cloudy Bay Te Koko paired with a Pad Thai summer role; Krug Grande Cuvée 166th Edition paired with truffle risotto; and Volcan de Mi Tierra Tequila Blanco paired with citrus ceviche guided by a host detailing each of the featured drinks.
