Actors and humanitarians Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green hosted a star-studded #Fight4TheAmazon charity event on December 9th at Avalon Hollywood, along with PUBG MOBILE — the official mobile version of PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS. Funds raised from this important event and social impact campaign benefit Global Green, a world-renowned non-profit with local partners on the ground in Brazil who are working to help put out the fires and plant thousands of new trees in the Amazon Rainforest.
The hosts were joined by Brian’s fellow 90210 alums Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Christine Elise and James Eckhouse as well as celebrity pals like Nikki Bella, Corey Feldman, James Pickens Jr. (Grey’s Anatomy), Greg Germann (Grey’s Anatomy, Ally McBeal), TV host and recording artist Kimberly Caldwell and her husband Major League Soccer star Jordan Harvey, Nash Overstreet, Hudson Thames, reality star Demi Burnett, professional dancer Anna Trebunskaya, NASCAR driver Noah Gragson and more.
During the event, Megan and Brian faced off against each other in a 4-vs-4 competition, joined by additional celebrity couples and PUBG MOBILE influencers. Nikki Bella, Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss and PUBG MOBILE influencer Pickles played with Megan while Allison Holker Boss, Artem Chigvintsev and PUBG MOBILE influencer McCoffee played for Brian’s team. As Megan and Brian’s teams battled it out, Kimberly Caldwell and her husband, Jordan Harvey, co-hosted a fun trivia contest where partygoers competed for special #Fight4TheAmazon backpacks made from 100% recycled water bottles.
In the end, Megan’s team was victorious in the live PUBG MOBILE celebrity match and Megan, Nikki, tWitch and Pickles presented William Bridge, the COO of Global Green, with a check for $100,000 on behalf of Tencent and PUBG MOBILE.
PUBG MOBILE and Omaze have also teamed up to offer fans the chance to win a Tesla Model S and $20,000. The sweepstakes at omaze.com/PUBGMOBILE will run until March 4, 2020 and will continue to raise additional funds for Global Green in the months ahead.
“We are so proud and honored to have been involved in PUBG MOBILE’s #Fight4TheAmazon campaign,” said Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green. “Nothing is more important to us than protecting the planet from the potential devastation of climate change. The Amazon is a critical component of that, so this was a great opportunity for us to help make a positive impact for our kids and future generations. And while this is just the beginning and there is so much work left to be done, we know that when we all come together, we can make a huge difference.”
Guests were also treated to an incredible Amazon-themed aerialist act, performed by Dari and Sagiv.
