Tacos and Tequila? Te Amo!
Nothing pairs better with warm weather than tacos, and nothing pairs better with tacos than tequila. At least, that’s this reporter’s opinion. The two tasted even better while celebrating an early Cinco de Mayo happy hour, hosted by Pantalones Organic Tequila on Thursday in New York City.
The intimate happy hour took place at Rosa Mexicano in Union Square. Guests were greeted with a margarita made using Pantalones Organic Tequila. This tequila company was founded by Matthew and Camila McConaughey in 2023. The two were attempting to enjoy some tequila during a trip to France. As the couple sipped on a top-shelf tequila brand, the thought occurred that they could make a tastier tequila at a better price. So they set out to do just that. Behold, the creation of Pantalones Organic Tequila.
Throughout the event, guests were served a variety of delicious Rosa Mexicano tacos and guac to enjoy with their beverages. They were given more information about the tequila-making process. It was made known that the McConaugheys have been very hands-on and have taken measures to ensure the tequila is organic and of high-quality. This includes using agave grown from heirloom seeds.
Before departing, guests were given custom gift bags. The bags were filled with full-sized bottles of Pantalones Organic Tequila, Yeti shakers and more. It even included a Rosa Mexicano-branded avocado stress ball.
With premium organic tequila, delicious Mexican cuisine and thoughtful gifts to take home, this Cinco de Mayo celebration was a lovely way to kick off the soon-to-come summer season.
