This Saturday, Marco Morante of Marco Marco debuted his Part One of a two-part series for his fourth collection titled F*KN SIRIUS at New York Fashion Week.
Held in Gotham Hall during Style Fashion Week, the runway was unlike any other, with surround sound speakers booming throughout the venue and chandeliers hovering over the lit runway. The event partnered with The Trevor Project to raise awareness of LGBTQ suicide prevention by coming together as a family to celebrate the diverse beauty of the community.
Marco Marco is known for his loud and innovative creations as a designer to the stars, creating looks for Katy Perry and Britney Spears. Selena Gomez wore a Marco Marco dress for her performance at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards and in her “Come and Get It” music video. The show featured bold cutout costume designs influenced by theater and bondage. Outfits featured neon thong underwear, see through dresses, and bondage straps worn by stars of the LGBT community from hit shows such as RuPaul’s Drag Race and America’s Next Top Model. Stars included Detox, Courtney Act, Miss Fame, and Isis. Notable celebrities such as Lance Bass and Carson Kressly were seen watching the show front row.
