The new dispensary goes big with a parade viewing party complete with DJ and tours, as well as positions in the Pride Parade featuring a Cannabis Queen.
Lighthouse, the new health-oriented cannabis dispensary, celebrated the opening of their latest location in Palm Springs with a party the coincided with Palm Springs Pride, the annual festival celebrating the LGBT community in the city and beyond. Lighthouse fully participated in the parade, which passed directly in front of Lighthouse’s sleek new retail space which we explored in-depth here.
The party, served as both an open house for the public and a parade viewing party for friends of the brand, tours of the space and music by DJ Pornstar. The dispensary, which will soon be complete with an on-site coffee shop, consumption lounge and bakery, was buzzing with energy as everyone from the drag versions of the Golden Girls to Lighthouse founder Joseph Rubin made their rounds. Guests were treated to samples of various cannabis products that Lighthouse carries, as well as an opportunity to see art and fashions in the space, which come from the local community. On the front terrace, guests watched and waved on the parade, which is now in its 33rd year.

Lighthouse didn’t neglect the parade by any measure. In fact, they occupied a total of five positions in the communal event, even debuting the first ever Cannabis Queen- dressed in an outfit by Perry Meek, known for his work with Lady Gaga, Cher, Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey and more.
Joining the Cannabis Queen were the “Love Brigade”, a group of volunteers within Lighthouse’s close knit LGBTQ community. The point of the participation in the parade was to show Lighthouse’s presence in the community, but also invite the community to join in the normalization and accessibility of high quality cannabis products that Lighthouse offers.
Altogether, the weekend was a celebration of community and sharing in the joys of diversity which Lighthouse stands as a leader in.
