Last Thursday, June 21st, LG launched their latest experiential bluetooth speaker line in collaboration with AFROPUNK & Twin Shadow at Williamsburg’s National Sawdust. The event also saw the popular synth-pop artist play several tracks from his recently released album, ‘Caer’.

To celebrate the release of their new bluetooth speaker line, LG partnered up with AFROPUNK and Twin Shadow to host a soirée full of quality music, tunes, and technology. The night was enhanced with an exclusive performance by Twin Shadow, who treated attendees to a special “first-listen” performance of his forthcoming album, ‘Caer’. Hosted in Williamsburg progressive venue, National Sawdust, the event successfully struck a balance between music and technology.

LG Electronics USA is no stranger to innovation. Their ability to think beyond the current has deemed them one of the leading global forces in the sphere of consumer electronics. They teamed up with AFROPUNK to create a unique, multisensory experience that allows listeners to listen to great music the way it’s supposed to be listened to – using all five senses. This was exemplified via a giant, inflatable helmet, which enabled visitors to choreograph their own sound experience by playing with the sensors lining the walls of the interior (speakers from LG’s PK Series). The helmet was inspired by the album cover for Twin Shadow’s recent LP, ‘Caer’ (out .

Dave VanderWaal, Senior Vice President of Electronics, kicked off the evening by explaining the concept behind the new line’s ‘Meridian Audio Technology’, a first class feature exclusive to LG’s new PK series. He explained that LG’s vision derived from what they believe music sounds like and should be. In addition to describing their new line of speakers, VanderWaal announced that they will be releasing a revolutionary Google Assistant art speaker with state of the art acoustics to prove that you don’t need to sacrifice good sound to have a smart set speaker.
