On April 21, 2022, director/producer David Leitch and his producing partner and wife Kelly McCormick revealed 87North, a brand new workspace and training facility housed within a converted church based in Hollywood, California. The new facility is set to become the industry’s premiere facility for cinematic fight and stunt training.

Attendees were among the first to see the company’s official reel presentation, which began after a short welcome message from Leitch and McCormick. By far the highlight of the night was the stunt presentation, in which trainees gave a live demo with breathtaking sword fighting, combat fighting, and some incredible stunts, including a shocking plunge by two trainees from the second-floor balcony.
Through the night, guests were treated to photo ops, savory bites, a luxurious charcuterie board, and an open bar, which featured specialty drinks with titles paying homage to just a few of the producing duo’s memorable projects.
Leitch and McCormick are currently working on Bullet Train, starring Brad Pitt, in which former Brad Pitt stunt double Leitch directed Pitt himself. Leitch also just wrapped Violent Night, starring David Harbour as a salty Santa. The team has directed and produced such blockbuster films like the John Wick franchise, Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, and Nobody.
Celebrities in attendance for the launch included Lake Bell, Bob Odenkirk, King Bach, Leslie Odom Jr., Sebastian Stan, Annabelle, Wallis, Scott Speedman, and Samara Weaving, among others.
Bullet Train will be released on July 29, 2022, and stars Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock, Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Zazie Beetz, and Michael Shannon, just to name a few. Other projects from 87North to keep an eye out for include The Fall Guy, starring Ryan Reynolds, Nobody 2, Kung-Fu, and more.
