The Knockturnal attended the premiere of Paramount+’s ‘School Spirits’ on March 1st, held at the Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever, a cemetery setting to match the supernatural show. Prior to a special screening of the first two episodes, the creators, siblings Nate Trinrud and Megan Trinrud, opened with a short speech about the inspiring journey that led to this notable moment.
The show centers around Maddie, a teenaged student who finds herself suddenly in the afterlife, unaware how she died and indefinitely stuck in the place of her possible murder: her high school. She joins a support group of other ghosts stuck at Split River High, unable to be seen or heard by the living students. As the only student who can’t remember her own death, Maddie seeks to uncover the truth behind her mysterious circumstances, unlocking suspicion and secrets along the way.
After the screening, Paramount+ held an afterparty at the Masonic Lodge venue, featuring themed cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres, and supernatural decor. The room was packed with cast members, executives, and notable attendees.
‘School Spirits’ stars Peyton List, Milo Manheim, Kiara Pichardo, Spencer MacPherson, Kristian Flores, Rainbow Wedell, Nick Pugliese, Sarah Yarkin, Josh Zuckerman, and Maria Dizzia, with new episodes airing Thursdays on Paramount+.
