Last Thursday, January 19, Kusmi Tea launched its flagship U.S. store at New York City’s Westfield World Trade Center.
With 63 boutiques in France and 26 additional international boutiques, last week’s latest opening marked a significant moment for the brand’s U.S. presence. The store is located within the Oculus, designed by the world-renowned architect Santiago Calatrava. However, Kusmi’s new flagship delivers its own unique retail design and experience. It’s truly the perfect complement to the Westfield World Trade Center, a blossoming new shopping district and visionary public space.
“The opening of Kusmi Tea at Westfield World Trade Center is a manifestation of our position as the luxury leader in the consumer tea category and we are thrilled that it’s happening at this iconic new location,” says Kusmi Tea CEO Sylvain Orebi.
From the beautiful bespoke mosaic, to the 6 ½ foot diameter chandelier, and all the way down to the parquet floor of Italian marble and French Oak, Kusmi Tea’s new U.S. flagship is nothing short of luxe.
Beyond the aesthetically-pleasing space, Kusmi Tea at Westfield World Trade Center takes the customer shopping experience one step further. This location features a central tasting station that brings a sense of ritual to the Kusmi experience featuring turned-polish stainless steel and oak samovars. The store also features merchandise exclusive to the U.S. flagship location, including a Christopher Jenner designed silver tea strainer and a transparent glassware collection.
Overall, if you’re a tea lover looking for timeless and iconic tea blends with a modern twist, stop by Kusmi Tea’s new flagship store at Westfield World Trade Center and step into the multi-sensory world of Kusmi’s celebrated teas.
