We attended the Kristin Cavallari x Chinese Laundry Fashion Week Presentation at Row NYC.
The collaboration collection from Kristin Cavallari for fall 2015 taps into a comfortable and bohemian vibe with neutral tones, fringe and embellishments. Much of the shoes this season consists of nudes and brown tones. Many of the booties are warm neutral shades which allow it to be styled in many different ways. The collection has a variety of heel heights ranging from flat comfy sneakers to pumps for a more dressed up look. The sneakers are lightly embellished with rhinestones to give them a little pizzazz while the dressy T-strap sandals are adorned with crystals that are perfect for evening occasions. Basic, casual boots are a must for the fall season with ankle booties that range from a one inch stacked heel to a more sturdy wedge for a little more height.
One standout style are the Chance boots. They feature a 3 1/2 inch heel and three tiers of fringe. The fringe is cut a little differently than other boot styles as they are staggered so they don’t overlap each other and cause tangles, but more importantly, they are cut at an angle. The angle helps give an illusion of elongated legs for the wearer and will be flattering on a variety of people with varying heights. The boot is styled to be a over the knee boot, but for those who are shorter, thigh-high boots are a trend for fall and the shoes will look gorgeous with some tights and a skirt. For those who are on the taller side, the boots also work for a below the knee trend which will dress up any pair of jeans. For those who are not a fan of the high boot trend, there is a similar boot, Charm which is the same boot, just cut at the ankle.
