Kiss of Life, the K-pop girl group known for their empowering, raw music and captivating stage presence, embarked on their first-ever world tour, Kiss Road.

Traveling around the states in their tour bus, members Natty, Julie, Belle, and Haneul embarked on their over two-month-long tour across the United States. The Knockturnal had the pleasure of attending their second show at The Novo in Los Angeles.

The venue, though small, was packed with their fans, KISSY’s, and brought to life in a way I had never seen before at The Novo. Despite attending multiple shows there, the Kiss of Life concert was my absolute favorite with such real moments and intense energy.

Fun Fact: The night before, I had received my Spotify Wrapped with Kiss of Life at #5 on my top artists list. So I knew I was in for a treat, but their performance exceeded all expectations beyond what I ever imagined.

Given that Los Angeles was already hot, the night was even hotter with Kiss of Life on stage.

Before the four members took the stage, the audience was filled with screams and lightsticks, setting the tone for the first three songs.

The hype tracks “Get Loud,” “Igloo,” and “Bad News” opened the show, setting the tone for Kiss of Life’s set and entire discography: empowering and enriching. Dressed in all-black outfits with silver stitching and black bulky combat boots, the group entered the stage with a dark and sparkly look matching the group’s energy.

As the members moved into their first opening speeches, they felt both emotional and energized by the KISSYs. They then performed “Chemistry,” a chill and flowy song with choreography that complimented the sound.

Between most songs, the girls chatted with the KISSY’s from the stage, asking for recommendations for things to do in Los Angeles and encouraging fans to scream and dance for the next song, “Too Many Alex.”

For all the Alex in the crowd, this one was for you— or maybe not? A song about shallow guys breaking free from repetitive relationship patterns, making it both relatable and catchy.

Afterward, the four made their first outfit change of the night, shedding their black sets and dressing into silver outfits that reflected the theatre lights beautifully.

The wardrobe shift set the tone for the next set of songs, from the Latin-inspired track “Te Quiero” to the intense vibes of “Nobody Knows,” which featured a special fan being pulled on stage for a personal dance from the group, also known as ‘The KISSY chair.’

The ‘KISSY Chair’ has been a fan favorite throughout the tour, giving one lucky fan per show a chance to join Kiss of Life on stage for a private chair dance. This performance drew the loudest screams and featured stunning pirouettes from Julie that perfectly tied the choreography together.

After riling up the crowd, the fun vibes of “Gentlemen” filled the theatre, followed by another playful chat with the audience—this time especially hilarious.

Kiss of Life knows how to deliver trendy, dynamic dances, often involving plenty of… shaking! Laughing, Julie admitted, “We’ve been shaking it every chance we got!” Check out some of their choreography below to get a taste!

Next came “Sticky” a fun summer anthem packed with killer high notes and the loudest audience chants of the night!

The vibe mellowed out with chill tracks like “My 808,” “R.E.M.,” and my personal favorite, “Nothing”—which ironically that song is everything! Seated for these more introspective tunes, the girls delivered heartfelt performances centered on relationships and vulnerability.

Following these emotional tracks, Kiss of Life took a moment to share their hopes for the show. Julie expressed her desire to keep things genuine and raw with fans, saying, “After this concert, when people think of Kiss of Life, I want them to think, ‘Kiss of Life’s concerts are the best. Also, I saw those girls in person, and they’re super hot.’”

The girls truly made their mark, making this one of the best concerts I’ve seen this year!

“Midas Touch”  and “Shhh,” two of Kiss of Life’s most popular tracks, wrapped up the high-energy portion of the night before the girls slipped into their tour sweaters for the encore set.

“Bye My Neverland,” “Says It,” and “Back to Me” were the perfect trio of encore songs, leaving everyone jumping and dancing until the final goodbyes to Los Angeles and their beloved KISSYs. (P.S. ‘Back to Me’ is an instant playlist must-have!)

Each member shared their love for LA and hopes to return as four in a larger venue—a fitting wish since the theatre was packed to the brim!

Belle, on the verge of tears, expressed how long they’d dreamed of an experience like this, calling it a true dream come true, with Natty echoing her emotions. Haneul and Julie also shared heartfelt thank-yous to everyone who came, promising an even more thrilling show next time—though this one already surpassed expectations!

A Kiss of Life show is something you don’t want to miss—empowering lyrics, raw and genuine moments, and beautiful choreography. Until next time.
