KIMOA is embodying the California lifestyle through their products. For those who are tired of “big brands” and are looking for something more unique.
Based in Madrid, KIMOA is a brand with a Spanish feel and a California mentality. KIMOA’s U.S. debut took place at the S’Zen Lounge at Hotel on Rivington in New York.
Despite KIMOA’s apparent beach vibe, choosing to launch in New York was to showcase that there is an urban side to KIMOA as well.
The guests at the launch were catered to a cocktail reception. The reception included a showroom with a range of unique KIMOA products from hats, sunglasses, sweatshirts and tank tops. There was also a Photo Booth. Every photo would include a “#WeAreKimoa” hashtag at the top. It’s safe to say that (excluding the open bar) everyone was trying to make sure they copped a shot.
When asked what is KIMOA? The answers during the launch ranged from healthy living, motivation, inspiration, friendship, working hard… and honestly, there is no one straightforward definition as to what KIMOA means.
KIMOA is a lifestyle.
#NeverSurrender is the hashtag that KIMOA leads with. It stems from the notion that even if one fails, you have to keep trying and persevere.
Formula 1 race car driver and champion Fernando Alonso, is the brand ambassador of KIMOA. During the launch, Alonso and Spanish artist Domingo Zapata addressed the guests in attendance. During his speech, Alonso makes it clear that he had many investments lined up. However, he chose to be the face of KIMOA, because of the values that he shares with the brand.
“#NeverSurrender the hashtag that KIMOA is using is well-matched with myself. I think going out of your comfort zone sometimes brings you something new and brings you the feeling of being alive and that’s really an amazing thing and an amazing lifestyle.”
Alonso concludes with: “Hopefully everyone will feel a little KIMOA inside, through this brand.”
