DAMN. The platinum-selling, Grammy Award-winning recording artist will be performing on the MTV Video Music Awards stage for the first time as a solo headline performer.
Kendrick Lamar has most definitely taken the world by storm. His fourth studio album, DAMN., which sold 603,000 copies in its first week and remained #1 on the Billboard 200 for four consecutive weeks, is currently the highest selling album of 2017. “DNA.” can be heard on every radio station, while “HUMBLE.” without a doubt will be requested at your next party. Now, the Compton native and this year’s top VMA nominee, with eight nominations including Artist of the Year, Video of the Year, and Best Hip Hop, will be gracing the VMA stage. The news of his performance was announced on Twitter on August 10.

Also performing at this year’s show will be Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, Lorde, and more, with host Katy Perry taking centerstage. Additional performers will be announced at a later date.
