September 5th, 2025. Midtown West, Manhattan. New York— There was no better way to usher in NYFW than to attend Josh McBride’s Birthday Bash, Friday, Sept 5th, 2025.
I arrived at HK Hall decked in a short pink sequin dress, feeling absolutely fabulous, bumped my pixie cut, and sauntered in with a set of silver heels compliments of Zara to celebrate the thirty-great (38th) birthday of TV personality Josh McBride at his annual birthday bash shutting down Manhattan with a star-studded extravaganza that quickly became the weekend’s must-attend event.
NYC’s HK was transformed into a dazzling playground of fashion, high-energy music compliments of DJ NYCE, and celebrity energy. Guests arrived dressed in to honor the theme of pink or alluring, black attire. The night’s official theme centered on a vibrant sea of style with 400-plus guests packing the venue from wall to wall. Guests sipped, danced, and mingled while enjoying signature cocktails from Ja Rule’s Amber & Opal and The Baker Company’s Espresso Martinis. Tasty morsels provided by the one and only, Baked by Melissa, complemented both beverage and bites with their sweet, signature treats.
Lights dimmed, bodies gyrating, the socialites posing on the red-carpet step-and-repeat for the camera; the flashes and the flicks wove their way into the live music from onstage. Legendary R&B duo, Nina Sky, opened the surprise concert with an electrifying set, officially launching the party with their timeless single, “Move Your Body”. International chart-topper Kevin Lyttle took the stage shortly after, heating up the stage with his global smash “Turn Me On”. The crowd went wild, singing his hits, word for word between sips of their cocktails and martinis. Kevin shared several songs with the crowds, new and classic, revealing that he’s written for some of our fave R&B acts, before crooning his covers to the audience. Closing the evening, R&B superstar Bobby V closed the night with a soulful and sensual set that sent the ladies wild as he handed out roses and slow danced with his the guests between song performances.
Also in attendance at the party, legendary celebrity photographer, Johnny Nunez, stopped in to pay respects and capture images of this starstudded event. The red carpet and dance floor alike were filled with familiar faces from television, music, and pop culture. Peppermint of RuPaul’s Drag Race attended, along with Lateshia Pearson of Belle Collective, the hilarious RIP Micheals of Wild ’N Out, psychic medium Matt Fraser of Meet the Frasers, the talented actor Alex Garfin of Superman and Lois, and Love Is Blind’s Clay Gravesande were among the many personalities spotted celebrating alongside McBride. After the party, guests left the venue buzzing with energy, good vibes and an unforgettable party, thrown by McBride, whose name is quickly becoming synonymous with, ‘good vibes, and good times”.
