The infamous duck phone and G.T.L. (gym, tan, laundry) are officially back on T.V.Jersey Shore: Family Vacation is here and airing on MTV. The network has aired the most notorious shows that millennials have grown up watching such as Teen Mom, MTV Cribs, Pimp My Ride and of course Jersey Shore!
We’ve grown up and so has the cast and it’s very exciting to witness everyone’s transformation. Most of the cast have become mothers, fathers, and have gone on to create their own successful brands. They’ve also transformed emotionally and have moved past the story plots featured on the original show, while maintaining their huge and hilarious personalities a decade later.
The greatest curveball is Sammi Sweetheart being back on the revived show. Yes, you heard that right! The roller coaster relationship between Sammi and Ronnie used to be one of the main storylines within the reality show. Much like the rest of the cast, they have both put the past behind them and are in great places individually in order to work together peacefully as co-workers now.
The premiere party celebrated the Jersey Shore’s coastline with beach-inspired signature cocktails and delicious and refreshing food that featured falafels, peta bread, olives, feta cheese and many variations of hummus and dips. There was even a Jersey Shore backdrop that featured a wall of pink and black sprinkled donuts (like the show’s promo shoot colors) and the signs read “donut forget your treat before you go!” I had a blast taste-testing and dancing on the 360 degree spinning camera platform.
The gorgeous rooftop at Hard Rock Hotel was a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Times Square right below. The venue offered magical sunset views of the Hudson River with its two outside balcony spaces with cozy seating and festive Jersey Shore pillows. The cast mingled with guests and cheered each other with cocktails as they joyfully celebrated the new season together! Snooki even brought back her notorious pouf hairstyle that everyone flexed back in high school. Talk about a fun Y2K throwback and outing!
