Hot off yet another successful season of The Crown, Claire Foy is back on the big screen with the anticipated thrilled, Unsane.
The actress stars in director Steven Soderbergh’s latest project, along with co-stars Jay Pharoah (SNL) and Joshua Leonard (The Blair Witch Project).
When Sawyer Valentini (Foy) moves from Boston to Pennsylvania to escape her dangerous stalker (Leonard), she seeks solace in a local therapist. As part of a larger financial ploy to keep Valentini voluntarily committed for 24 hours, she is locked away for “observation.” As her past comes back to haunt her, she begins to question her sanity and is forced to deal with her greatest fear.
The film is dripping with twists and turns, and perhaps even scarier than the thought of being committed, is Leonard’s performance that will leave you feeling sick to your stomach.
Soderbergh took his directing skills to a whole new level by opting to shoot the entire film with an iPhone 7 Plus.
