Jay Godfrey presented his fall/winter 2016 collection on the first day of New York Fashion Week, February 11.The presentation was held at the Space at Skylight Clarkson Square on Washington Street. Godfrey showed beautiful dresses and jumpsuits in rich jewel tones. The pieces were body con with interesting cut outs and ruffle details. Many of the pieces were off the shoulder with matching silk collars Godfrey created a diverse collection that had a variety of necklines (from deep V-necks to halter tops) that were both accessible and easily adaptable; it had something for everyone.
The collection also showed a variety of hemlines, from long ankle length gowns to midi dresses and minis. The unifying factors were the jewel tones presents in luxurious fabrics. Godfrey paired his collection with pieces from jewelry brand, ANMARÉ. ANMARÉ showcased their Grommet Cuff, Mykonos Ring, Long Sunflower Necklace, Sunflower Chocker, and Banana Leaf Earrings to match Godfrey’s Fall Collection.
Guests included Alicia L. Quarles, Lennon Stella, Bailee Madison, Maddie Marlow, Taylor Dye, Arden Cho, and Maisy Stella.
