Last Week Def Jam Recordings hosted a listening party in celebration of rapper Gunplay’s highly anticipated debut album.
The party was held in the basement of Phillippe Chow, which provided an intimate setting for various bloggers and writers attending the event. Complimentary wine and appetizers were offered as Living Legend filled the two rooms.The most refreshing aspect of the entire night was that immediately after entering the room Thursday night, he shook each and every writer’s hand. Gunplay very humbly took a minute to thank everyone who has supported him thus far and then proceeded to turn up and mingle with guests.
The two hot singles, which already dropped, featured on “Living Legend,” reunite the Maybach music team with Rick Ross on “Be Like Me” and YG on “Wuzhanindoe.” With the full track list below you can see some other exciting features include Yo Gotti and Curren$y. The evening was a mix of lit and laid back. The album boasts some seriously sinister beats like “Blood on the Dope,” featuring Yo Gotti and PJK, sprinkled with chill stoner tracks like “Chain Smokin” featuring Stalley and Curren$y. Gunplay seems to have a promising future ahead of him and an attitude that’ll likely take him far. You can pre-order the album via iTunes or cop it July 31.
