Idris Elba collection with Superdry has officially hit stores and their online shop.
The collection, entitled Idris, features 250 menswear pieces created by the designers and Elba with his cool, British style in mind. Saturated, tonal colors run throughout including midnight blues and graphite greys with pops of cobalt blue occasionally.
In a statement Elba said, “If I had the opportunity to have any influence in fashion, this is it. I’m not a designer, but I’m passionate about clothes and I know how men want to look. Functionality and durability were key things for me. It’s a ‘24-hour’ collection; clothing guys can look and feel great in from day to night.” Idris also enjoyed working with Superdry’s co-founders James Holder and Julian Dunkerton, bonding over how hard they’ve worked to get where they are now.
A few of the items have been named to correspond with moments in Elba’s life. The Leading Leather Racer Jacket is a clear highlight made up of 100 percent quality leather evoking Elba’s cool but relaxed style. Other outwear includes a sleek sports trench and down-filled winter coats. More casual pieces like joggers, tees and crew neck jumpers are also in the collection.
The entire collection is available now in stores and online.
