The #HoJoSweetEscape experience takes over Lower Manhattan with an Insta-worthy installment of a to-scale Howard Johnson by Wyndham’s room redesign made entirely of candy.
The Candyland paradise is complete with a marshmallow bed, rock candy lamps, and a licorice television– all mirroring the real-life (and inedible) new $40 million room refresh renovation expanding throughout Howard Johnson by Wyndham locations.
The candy model adds whimsical fun to the celebration of the latest hotel remodel unveilings, with guest rooms a blend of modern design and signature vintage elements to highlight the brand’s iconic role in family-friendly Americana. Currently 70% of Howard Johnson by Wyndham owners are currently in the process of updating guest rooms, with destinations such as Orlando, San Diego, and San Antonio already completed.
Guests can walk through the Lower Manhattan showroom to explore the 450 pounds of candy used in the model room decoration– including 80,000 individual M&Ms– and find their Instagrammable moment by diving into a pool filled with 30,000 marshmallows or sitting in an oversized orange Adirondack chair to toss beach balls.
Complete with signature orange walls and arches, Howard Johnson by Wyndham takes family-friendly to the next level– and can now proudly say they are Willy Wonka’s hotel of choice.
The #HoJoSweetEscape is at 393 Broadway for a two-day pop-up event, August 22nd and 23rd from 12pm to 7pm.
