On Tuesday May 3rd at SOBs, Hot 97 brought out some of the hottest up and coming artists. Sponsored by Swisher Sweets and presented by FilmonTV, the show opened with Atlanta’s own Kelechi. This independent rapper is on the move right now with some of his most recent tracks featuring BJ The Chicago Kid and Trinidad James.
Up next on the marquee were Focus The Truth and Joella DeVille, two of Hot 97’s “Who’s Next?” finalists battling head to head to make it to the Summer Jam festival stage. Queens, New York’s own Focus The Truth performed his grimy yet powerful set that had the crowd rocking. The beautiful songstress Joella DeVille slowed it down with her sensual performance that gave her the win; moving her forward in the race to Summer Jam.
