Luxury beauty brand Decorte may be a big deal in Japan (their kiosk in the world’s highest grossing revenue cosmetic floor has the most foot traffic) but it’s going global and the company kicked off their US launch with a beauty influencer event here in NYC.
Beauty ambassadors were on hand to sample the products which include skin care and make up. Guests also nibbled on tasty appetizers like risotto balls, steak, and a variety of bruschetta and toasted to Decorte with the evening’s signature cocktail – the “Essence” Onsen Water Cocktail.
It’s no secret water is a main ingredient in many skin care formulas, but what makes Decorte different is their use of Onsen water. Found only in Japan’s hot springs, Onsen water is considered living water with a “Source of Life” and is an active ingredient in the Decorte products.
“Texture is everything,” said a spokesperson at the event. “In America we think the heavier the product, the better it must be. But in Japan they have high performance in beautiful textures – and skin care is going through a texture revolution.”
The International brand has even nabbed Kate Moss as their face and ambassador and apparently the super model is a big fan of the products. Moss’ campaign was shot by legendary photographer Mario Testino – with two huge names in the fashion and beauty space, we’re excited to see what this brand will bring to the US market.
Decorte will first be sold exclusively through Saks 5th Avenue before making its way into other retailers.
