This past Thursday evening the Knockturnal attended an exclusive Hennessy launch event at the chic bar/lounge, Kinfolk, in Brookly. Hennessy hosted its launch party in celebration of its new limited edition bottle by renowned tattoo artist Scott Campbell.
What an incredible night. Kinfolk was the perfect location to host this hush-hush shindig because of its beautiful lounge and staff, and appropriately sized dance floor. Overlooking the dance floor was the DJ booth, in which the DJ played hits such as “Can’t Stop the Feeling” (A little JT anyone?) to classic throwbacks like “Tipsy” by J-Kwon.
We laughed, we boozed, we grooved.
And, of course, the booze was fantastic. The new “Very Special” drink was offered to each guest who walked into the venue. It was delicious – just the right amount of sweetness and liquor. It was actually refreshing, unlike other drinks that can taste too heavy. Also the drink is a lovely reddish-pink color, perfect for the summertime parties or nights out on the town.
In addition, there was a SICK Photo Booth, in which two guests at a time could take a photo sitting on two luxuriously comfortable Hennessy chairs, and afterwards digitally edit the photo themselves by choosing a Hennessy themed tattoo to place on themselves. The photos actually turned out pretty dope! I chose some cool angel wings to cover my upper chest. I even sent one of to my mom, who MIGHT have had a panic attack following…it’s OK, she’s OK.
Notables in attendance included Mario Lopez, Draya Michele, Evan Ross, Ashlee Simpson, Erica Mena, supermodel Chanel Iman, and actor and film producer Zachary Quinto.
All in all – well done, Hennessy. We at the Knockturnal will continue to sip your delicious cocktails…when we aren’t busy writing, of course.
