On Friday April 8, HBO Max celebrated the premiere of its new hit show Tokyo Vice at Far Bar, a Japanese restaurant in the heart of LA’s Little Tokyo.
It was truly a night like no other as guests dove into the gritty world of the Max Original Tokyo Vice including immersive experiences, neon-drenched photo moments, Japanese inspired food and cocktails, a live DJ and show-inspired engagements at every corner.
The event served as the conclusion to the Tokyo Vice Speakeasy Hunt, which was a scavenger hunt in Little Tokyo for select influencers to solve in order to unlock the event location. The speakeasy event experiences included key interactive and photo-worthy moments throughout the space that brought the different show themes to life – from investigative journalism, to Yakuza culture, Tokyo nightlife, and other key scenes and visuals from the show.
These elements gave guests the chance to tap into their inner investigator, as well as celebrate the vibrant culture of 90’s Tokyo. In addition, guests were engaged by small puzzle solving tactics, decoding moments, mind games and also received show-themed gifts at the end of the night.
