With the temperatures finally dropping, most are already regretting lamenting asking for winter weather. The only solace is provided by the arrival of the 2016 spring/summer collections and campaigns. Inspired by the German ’80s pop culture aesthetic, Gucci traveled to shoot their latest campaign in Berlin. Building off of their fall/winter campaign in Los Angeles, Gucci traveled to a different city with a completely different vibe, giving viewers a campaign with surrealistic elements. Set against bathroom mirrors, empty staircases, and on a gravel paved rooftop, the setting provides a raw backdrop for the romantic and luxurious collection.
The campaign also has old school transportation elements like a vintage bus and a skateboard, which requires a little more physical effort then the latest hover board obsession. The collection pays homage to nature, using several elements like parrots and peacocks among other birds and embroidered florals and vines. The collection also uses fun motifs like thunder bolts and lips.
The campaign has launched and can be seen in the January 2016 magazines. Talent includes Polina Oganicheva, Peyton Knight, Elizabeth Moore, Nicole Atieno, Mia Gruenwald, Anka Kurydina, Viola Podkopaeva, Jacob Hugo Goldhoorn, Timothy Dibble, Arnis Cievala and Anton Tofgart.
