GQ hosts fashion week lounge for bloggers and fashion industry insiders.
The inauguration of New York Fashion Week Men’s saw GQ hold a social lounge event for the first two days of the occasion. The lounge was held in an intimate and accommodating space in the Meatpacking District. The main purpose of the event was for bloggers and fashion industry insiders to socialize, network, and relax before they had to get into the rush of shows they had to attend.
Sponsoring the event was LG, San Pellegrino, Mr. Porter and Shinola. Inside, tables were stacked with the latest GQ magazines, refreshments from San Pellegrino and, other products like lapel pins, socks, pocket squares and more from Hook + Albert.
Being that LG was one of the events sponsors, the all new LG G4 was showcased with a spokesperson who explained the features of the gently contoured device. No doubt the smartphone is incredibly stylish. One of its stand out features include the camera which was described as “groundbreaking”. To justify this term, popular New York photographer, Daniel Seung Lee was hired to use the phone to photograph some of the events attendees and indeed, the quality of the photos were just as unprecedented as described. Portraits include Brian Sacawa of hespokestyle.com, Spencer Parry of sparrystylings.com, Sabir Peele of mensstylepro.com and, Tommy Lei of mybelonging.com just to name a few.
From Mr Porter showcasing ready to wear products, to the bathrooms being stocked with luxurious grooming essentials like, Cologne from Calvin Klein and, Dolce & Gabbana, it is safe to say that the event was well organized and exquisitely on brand. Overall, attendees enjoyed good drinks, light snacks, wifi, phone & camera charging, and the company of other personalities.
