The HAIM sisters are back and have announced a release date for the sophomore album.
The project titled Something To Tell You will be out this summer, released on July 9. Their freshman album Days Are Gone was released in 2013 and the American pop rock trio hasn’t released any new music besides one or two collaboration tracks.
The band has given many teases for their newest record ‘Right Now’ including some Instagram promotion. They have recently released a video for the song, which you can watch below. The video, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, is a live video and we get to see the HAIM sisters perform the song using instruments commonly audible in their music – drums, guitar, bass, the piano and the songstresses’ amazing voices. The video is giving fans a live version of the single before the official studio version is released early next month.
The album’s release has taken so long since all the music that they create is written and produced by the group themselves. It will feature collaborations with Rostam Batamangli, who has recently departed from Vampire Weekend, and Days Are Gone contributor Ariel Rechtshaid. HAIM is scheduled to perform on SNL alongside the May 13 host, Melissa McCarthy, most likely giving us more content from the new project.
