Exciting news for Harry Potter fans everywhere, Warner Bros. Pictures has confirmed filming for the upcoming film, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.
Releasing in 2016, Fantastic Beasts will mark five years since fans were last invited back into the Wizarding World with the last installment of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Fantastic Beast will follow Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), renowned in the wizarding world as an influential magizzolist and author of Hogwarts textbook, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. (Which let’s be honest Harry and Ron must have never touched and Hermione devoured.) Scamander’s work brings him to New York as he continues his journey of researching and documenting magical creatures. The film boosts an impressive cast with award winning resumes. Scamander is played by Eddie Redmayne, Academy Award winning actor from The Theory of Everything. Talent include Katherine Waterston as Tina; Alison Sudol as Tina’s sister), Queenie; Dan Fogler as Jacob; Ezra Miller as Credence; Samantha Morton as Mary Lou; Jenn Murray as Chastity; Faith Wood-Blagrove as Modesty; and Colin Farrell as Graves. David Yates and David Heyman will continue to direct and produce Fantastic Beasts (respectively), while J.K.Rowling will debut as screenwriter.
