This week’s Fear The Walking Dead is all about June!
That is because we see her several years later hunting down members of PADRE along with cutting their fingers off. I must say, Jenna Elfman pulled it off on her scenes and her exchange of words with Dwight, Sherry, and even Shrike. This entire vibe of this week’s Fear has the environment like Predator with the dark mood of a sci-fi film. I love it.
One thing I have to address is the use of radiation. It is implied that it helps cure walker bites and infections based on what PADRE had June doing before she quit. If that helped Alicia in the previous season, what does this mean for everyone else who could get a walker bite in the future? Simply just getting contaminated by radiation can’t be the only fix.
Dwight and Sherry, who continue to be the brightest parts of Fear The Walking Dead, had to watch their son grow from afar over the years. I wonder what stopped them from trying to rescue him during the time jump. Thus said, I always enjoy seeing them together. Especially when they talk about how PADRE reminds them of The Sanctuary on the main show.
Shrike is showing that she is not playing around. To teach June a lesson, not only did she had a walker head bite Finch, she also cut June’s trigger finger in retaliation of her doing the same thing to PADRE’s soldiers. It’s the first time in a while that an antagonist on Fear The Walking Dead does something without dragging it with dialogue.
With everything on this episode along with the nasty walkers, it is miles beyond better than the premiere. This one might be a sleeper hit for its final season.
