Tyler Perry’s Ruthless is back for season 2 with even more drama, more gasps and more suspense.
Ruthless has premiered exclusively on BET+ and will stream every Thursday. If you recall, season one left us with quite the cliffhanger as members of the Rakudushis were tested after vital information was revealed. Season two will kick off right where it left off as members of the strict cult start to realize that they might not be living in a peaceful paradise after all. The realization of the horrors that take place behind their gates has encouraged a few members to risk their lives to escape the sinical grip of The Highest [Matt Cedeño]. Melissa L. Williams, Matt Cedeño, Lenny D. Thomas, Yvonne Senat Jones, Baadja-Lyne Odums, and Blue Kimble return to star in the 19-episode original series.
“It’s gonna be a lot of murder, lot of love, lot of mayhem. Hopefully you’re good at holding your breath because it’s going to be a lot. You thought season one was bad, it’s a wrap for you guys,” said Lenny Thomas who plays Dikhan. Season one of Ruthless surely came in like a wrecking ball, with viewers unsure what to expect but seeing how the show was written, executive produced and directed by Tyler Perry, we should have had no doubts that it would be worth the watch. “People don’t get to see and experience how real and natural and personable he [Tyler Perry] really is. People think he’s pulling strings and doing things from a far, no, he’s right there,” Blue Kimble who plays Andrew said about working with Perry. It is clear that the cast have formed their own healthy cult from castmates to production to the crew, the Ruthless team has created a bond that is apparent in their work on screen.
The Knockturnal spoke exclusively with Ruthless’ season 2 cast about filming during a pandemic, what’s in store for the upcoming season, working with Tyler Perry and they even shared what type of cult they would want to start.
