Columbia Pictures in association with Bron Creative presented the world premiere of “Ghostbusters: Afterlife” at AMC Lincoln Square on Monday (Nov. 15) evening.
From the film: Paul Rudd, Mckenna Grace, Carrie Coon, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, JK Simmons, Celeste O’Connor, Logan Kim, Director Jason Reitman, Producer Ivan Reitman, Executive Producer Michael Beugg, Executive Producer Jason Blumenfeld and SPX Makeup Arjen Tuiten all walked the red carpet. Aaron L. Gilbert and Brenda Gilbert of BRON Studios were also in attendance.
Other guests included: Al Roker, Jaimie Alexander, Meg Donnelly and Aldis Hodge, to name a few. The event was sponsored in part by IMAX and DOLBY Cinema. Guests were also able to sample a special edition Hi-C on the red carpet as well. The beverage company is packaging the Ecto Cooler in 12-ounce bottles for a “commemorative” drop. At the end of the carpet several fans were dressed in the classic Ghostbusters jumpsuit and they had a chance to pose with a replica of the iconic Ghostbusters vehicle.
When we asked star Paul Rudd what made this project so special, he told The Knockturnal exclusively:
Oh gosh, so many things! First and foremost the script was great! I love Jason Reitman’s movies and so The Ghostbusters of it all aside, I thought what a cool story and it’s really fun! The fact that it was Ghostbusters was amazing and it’s such a historic franchise and a movie that I loved certainly growing up like everybody else and the fact that it was going to be done by the original writer/director’s son and so that it became kind of this familial feel, it was like what was happening on screen was also happening off screen, so it was a real honor to be apart of that.
GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE opens Nationwide on NOVEMBER 19TH.
