We spoke with the dynamic O-T Fagbenle who stars in a new show ‘Maxxx’ on Hulu and as Mason in Marvel’s “Black Widow.”
You might best recognize O-T from his starring role as Luke on the last three seasons of the award-winning, critically acclaimed drama series The Handmaid’s Tale (Hulu) opposite Elizabeth Moss. While O-T has captivated audiences through his work in drama, this summer he will take a comedic turn, returning to Hulu with his brand-new comedy series Maxxx.
Maxxx centers around a formerly famous boyband star Maxxx (Fagbenle) who tries to make his music comeback in a bid to win back his famous supermodel ex-girlfriend (Jourdan Dunn), and prove to the world he isn’t a washed-up, has been. Aside from starring in the series, Maxxx has truly been a labor of love for O-T, as he co-wrote, directed, and executive produced the 6-part series. It debuted in the UK on Channel 4 and will make its US debut on Hulu.
While juggling production on The Handmaid’s Tale and Maxxx, O-T also filmed a lead role in the upcoming MARVEL feature film Black Widow opposite Scarlett Johansson, Florence Pugh, David Harbour, and Rachel Weisz, which is slated to be released in November 2020.
