‘Bling Empire New York’ depicts a group of wealthy and sophisticated Asian-Americans. Billionaires, fashion icons, and CEOs seek high-end real estate opportunities. In New York City, the characters compete for love, power, and money. On January 20, Netflix will release the upcoming reality show.
For the release party, Netflix partnered with top fashion company Michael Kors. On January 18, they celebrated the launch of ‘Bling Empire New York.’ The gorgeous House of the Red Pearl hosted the event. Cast members Lynn Ban, and Nam Laks glamorously posed on the red carpet. Additional cast Blake Abbie, Tina Leung, Deborah Hung and Dorothy Wang also attended.

Wang shared that she has not seen the episodes. The trailer featured her in glamorous clothes with access to high-profile restaurants. The Knockturnal said that they binged the entire season. Wang put her hand near her chest and gasped. Still, she wanted to hear all about the finished product. “Tell me everything actually,” she gushed.
Wang has a close friendship with fellow cast member Tina Leung. Through her, she met many of her reality television relationships. She describes the production process as “fun” and “copacetic.” She reveals that much of the ‘Bling Empire’ cast runs in similar social circles. “I genuinely like most of the people that we’re with,” she comments.
Wang thinks of NYC men as more direct, honest, and career-driven. The men have both occupations and social lives. These values coincide with her own dating philosophy. Wang describes herself as “a straight-shooter.” She elaborates, “you try it and, if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work.” Last year, she moved from Los Angeles to NYC.
Wang expresses her love for NYC. She experiences difficulty with hailing cabs, saying that she doesn’t handle rejection well. Wang expands, “What if you put your hand up and no car comes for you?” She laughs and sports a jubilant smile. Despite any culture shocks, she says, “I am a New York City girl.”
Occasionally, Wang plans to visit LA. During her trips, she would visit family. However, elegant NYC life motivates her to return. Wang says, “I can’t wait to come back to New York every time I’m out of town.”
