Spotifyβs Best New Artist Party attracted stars from all over the entertainment industry – everyone was incredibly excited to see the new artists perform their acclaimed hits and a few celebrity guests shared their thoughts with us.
Derek Hough, known for Dancing With the Stars, gave some advice to new artists tonight hoping to get their name out there: βdonβt try to hustleβ¦ just have fun. Enjoy the performances and the party.β He also raved about his sister Julianne, saying that βshe is absolutely crushing it right nowβ and βhaving the best time with the Oprah tourβ that she leads a dance workshop for.

The cast of Netflixβs hit show, Cheer, excitedly told us about how the βvery suddenβ success of their show has βblown [them] awayβ since they had βno expectationsβ for where the show would take them. When asked if they enjoyed filming, they said they loved βabsolutely every second.β Being invited to Spotifyβs popular tonight was βvery overwhelmingβ but they were βso gratefulβ to have the opportunity to come.
Addison Easterling, 19-year-old TikTok star, voiced her enthusiasm about how much being here tonight with Spotify βwas an honorβ that felt βabsolutely insaneβ because its βsuch a huge part of the music industry. She also shared her insight into how βTikTok has been such a huge part of music in the last few months, and itβs really making its name in the music industryβ – many artists βare using it as a platform to get their name out there and get their music to the top.β One of tonightβs nominees, Lil Nas X, is an example of how influential TikTok can be in popular culture.
