Wife, warrior, and Queen of England.
Those are only a few of the many roles you can expect Charlotte Hope to play as she returns for another riveting season of Starz’ ‘The Spanish Princess.’ The series continues the story of Queen Catherine (Charlotte Hope) and Henry VIII (Ruairi O’Connor) facing new royal duties together. The ruling couple of England work hard to make their country proud and strong, but is strength enough to keep their nation and relationship together?
The Knockturnal sat down with returning cast members Charlotte Hope, Ruairi O’Connor, Stephanie Levi-John, Georgie Henley, Laura Carmichael, Aaron Cobham, and executive producers Emma Frost, Matthew Graham.
“Catherine is really bada** and goes to war, but she is also desperately trying to be a mother. That really consumes her. It’s such a gift to me to get to play a character that is so many [roles], because that’s what women are. So many of us are trying to do it all, all the time, and not managing it. It’s really exciting to see that battle on-screen in one woman,” Hope explained while speaking exclusively to The Knockturnal about the series.
Season 2 of ‘The Spanish Princess’ premieres on October 11th on Starz.
