Vin Diesel, Garrett Hedlund, Kristen Stewart Star In ‘Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk’
Set to come out on Veteran’s Day of next year, November 11, 2016, we have just less than a year to wait to see Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, the next film directed by Ang Lee (Life of Pi) and written by Simon Beaufoy (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) and Jean Christophe Castelli (who also worked with Lee on Life of Pi).
The film is set to star a number of people as it follows a soldier who tells the story of the last few hours before he was sent back to Iraq with his friends. It stars Kristen Stewart as Kathryn Lynn, Vin Diesel as Shroom, Garett Hedlund as Dime, Steve Martin as Norm Oglesby, Chris Tucker as Albert, Makenzie Leigh as Faison, Tim Blake Nelson as Wayne Foster, Ben Platt as Josh and plenty more.
The film was recently in the news after it was announced that Lee will be filming the movie in a whopping 120 frames per second, making it the first movie to even try that endeavor. It would be important to note that Texas Instruments, maker of our beloved graphing calculators, also supplies digital projectors with cinema chips, and that they recently stated the film might make them upgrade their projectors to accommodate the film. And to add more to the punch, the film will be shot in 3D with Sony F65 4K cameras, meaning it’s going to be like Life of Pi visually on steroids.
