Derek Lam’s new fragrance collection 10 Crosby’s campaign is series of 10 shorts created by Supermarché.
Scenes outside 10 Crosby Street, where Lam’s design studio resides, inspired the films and the names of the fragrances within the collection. The series follows a group of 20 and 30 somethings that represent the diversity found on Crosby Street. The trailer reveals the group exploring the idea of human connection as they deal with struggles from romance to job satisfaction. Though it invokes the same vibes as the many films and TV series focused on young people, the series utilizes several different arts including dance and music to create some beautiful moments teased in the trailer.
You can watch the trailer bellow or on Lam’s website. The fragrance collection will be available exclusively at Sephora in store and online, as well as on Lam’s website nationwide on Jan. 28. The films will be released on Feb. 3 on Lam’s and Sephora’s site.
Actors Alia Shwakt, Jennifer Westfeldt, Aya Cash, Broadway performer Anthony Ramos and musician Dev Hynes all star in the films. Several other NYC based musicians, directors, dancers and writers also make appearances in the shorts.
Supermarché co-founders and directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman worked with Lam as creative directors for the films. They shot each of the stories in and around the crosby street area.
