The new family fun comedy starring some of NBA’s biggest legends is coming to a theater near you on June 29.
Uncle Drew is a family film about an ex-basketball player, Dax (Lil Rel), who drained his life savings to enter a team in the Rucker Classic streetball tournament in Harlem. Desperate to win the tournament and the cash prize, Dax stumbles upon the man, the myth, the legend Uncle Drew (NBA All-Star Kyrie Irving) and convinces him to return to the court one more time. The two men embark on a road trip to round up Drew’s old basketball squad (Shaquille O’Neal, Chris Webber, Reggie Miller, Nate Robinson, and Lisa Leslie) and prove that a group of septuagenarians can still win the big one.
In other roles, we will see Tiffany Haddish, Nick Kroll, and Erica Ash.
Directed by Charles Stone III the movie will release nationwide on June 29. In the meantime, check out the trailer below:
