All of the recent celebratory reviews of “Moonage Dream” are a showcase of sparkling design that is worthy of a grand display.

Director Bret Morgen has not only scored a hit – he has created a mythical, musical masterpiece. If you were lucky enough to meet his subject matter you would fall even deeper into the spell of what is a fantastic film. This overall is a beautiful tribute to an artist who touched the lives of so many.

Young and old can indulge in this kaleidoscopic experience that from start to finish takes you on journey to a world of bliss that warmly embraces you inside of it. Bowie was not just a pop of color in history. He was as the documentary demonstrates was the painter who painted the world’s most impressive and colorful rainbow.

“Moonage Daydream”  is the first film to be supported by the David Bowie Estate, which granted Morgen unprecedented access to their collection. You witness when you watch this glorious marriage on film that leaves the audience with an impression that they will never see a more perfect union.

In 2017, the estate presented Morgen with over 5 million assets. Included in the collection were rare and never-before seen drawings, recordings, films, and journals. Morgen spent four years assembling the film and another 18 months designing the soundscape, animations, and color palette.

Personal archived footage, unseen performances are mixed with Bowie’s superb music and lyrical words that are pure poetry. All music lovers will rejoice in this breathtaking landscape.
