Bridget Kelly is more than a reality star.
The Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter recently released her album Reality Bites and there is a sound for everyone on the 13-track R&B album. The project is comprised of tracks about heartbreak and healing.
Bridget stopped by the LEEZ Department store in Lower Manhattan on Tuesday and hosted an intimate listening party for her fans to get a sneak peak of the album.
At the listening event Kelly spoke exclusively with The Knockturnal and said, “there is a lot on this album that is very telling about where I’ve been over the last couple of years and the type of fazes that I have gone through, I’m finally fearless enough to talk about every aspect of my relationship.”
Bridget became a cast member of VH1’s Love and Hip Hop Hollywood last season and spoke on the way the show portrayed her.
“Despite the show painting a very negative image of me with the edits they choose, I think there is a lot to be said about the conversations I’ve started.”
Bridget received heat from fans after it was revealed she had been unfaithful to her ex-fiancé.
“We are really quick to beat women down for things that we expect from men,” said the R&B singer. “So I think with this album I talk about what it was like to take that beating and talk openly about infidelity.”
Reality Bites is out now and on all major streaming platforms.
