Star of Netflix’s hit show Ginny & Georgia, Brianne Howey prepares for filming season 2 by taking an adventure filled trip to Aruba with her husband Matt Ziering.
Filming for season 2 of the highly anticipated series is soon underway and to get herself prepared; Howey enjoyed a “magical” five-day getaway at the luxurious Ritz Carlton resort in Aruba. The resort is the only luxury resort on Palm Beach. And if you didn’t already know, Aruba has some of the best weather you can imagine. “It is the bluest waters, the whitest sand, it’s constantly 82 degrees year-round, it never rains, it sits outside of the hurricane belt, it’s beautiful,” described Howey.

Many are still wary about traveling during the pandemic but Aruba has placed several safety measures to ensure that everyone is safe and healthy. All travelers must show a negative PCR test to enter the island as well as download Aruba’s health app that makes everything so easy and gives visitors a peace of mind. Howey has become quite an expert on the Caribbean Island after her stay, with several recommendations and vacation favorites. “They have Eagle Beach there and it’s stunning. It’s rated the third best beach in the entire world and it really is,” Howey explained. The beach is void of hotels and full of mangrove trees. Howey recalls her favorite part being the crystal clear and turquoise warm water.

Of course, the best way to vacay is blend adventure and relaxation and the Netflix star did just that. Howey and her husband enjoyed a stress relief massage at The Ritz Carlton spa and lounging in a hammock as well as paddling boarding, snorkeling, sailing and jet skiing. The newlyweds, who tied the knot in July certainly made this a romantic getaway to remember. As amazing as their trip sounds, it’s even more amazing that Aruba is now offering couples that are planning their wedding an opportunity to go on their honeymoon prior to the wedding. Over a million couples had to postpone their wedding in 2021 due to Covid and Aruba is offering qualifying couples a free honeymoon trip to Aruba. The program is called, “Honeymoon First,” which allows couples to go on their honeymoon first and then tackle the wedding planning stress later. Eligible couples may apply from now up until November 15th on aruba.com.

Now that Howey has been able to destress, it’s time to jump right back into the sassy Southern, mischievous, dynamic character that is, Georgia from the Netflix original series, Ginny & Georgia. Season 1 has left off with Georgia in quite the predicament and she may have trouble finessing her way out of this one. Tight lipped Howey said, “she has her work cut out for her this season.” I guess we’ll have to wait and see! As of now, there is no set release date for the upcoming season.
