BottleRock 2025: Where Rock Meets Rosé in Napa Valley

A Full Recap of Three Days of Music, Food, and Hendrick’s-Fueled Magic at Wine Country’s Most Lavish Festival.

BottleRock Napa Valley 2025 wrapped its 12th edition with all the sun-soaked elegance and sonic swagger the Bay Area has come to expect.

Held over Memorial Day Weekend (May 23–25) at the Napa Valley Expo, the three-day festival delivered a rich blend of top-tier musical performances, gourmet experiences, celebrity sightings, and whimsical activations — none more captivating than the towering Hendrick’s Gin 3-Story Bar. With over 80 performers across six stages, over 120,000 attendees, and an ever-expanding offering of culinary and lifestyle experiences, BottleRock once again proved that it’s more than a music festival — it’s a curated celebration of all things tastefully wild.

BottleRock 2025 boasted a stacked lineup with headliners that spanned decades and genres. Friday opened with a bang as fans rushed in as the gates opened, running to claim their spots on the barricade at the JaM Cellars stage to see Sublime and Green Day perform. Their efforts were well rewarded as Green Day tore through their East Bay punk anthems, riling up a crowd that ranged from college kids to wine-sipping retirees. Earlier in the day, Public Enemy brought politically charged energy to the Verizon Stage, with Flavor Flav in full neon camo regalia. Sofi Tukker’s tropical house set turned the main lawn into a midday dancefloor, while Sublime (with Jakob Nowell, son of the late Bradley) served reggae nostalgia in flip-flops. At the Culinary Stage, Tré Cool swapped drumsticks for spatulas alongside actor Adam DeVine and rising pop star Benson Boone, who debuted his Moonbeam ice cream with a surprise backflip to seal the deal.

Saturday belonged to Justin Timberlake, who delivered a career-spanning, choreographed spectacle to close out the night, complete with hits from Justified and his latest, Everything I Thought It Was. On the Verizon Stage, Ice Cube returned to his rap roots with WC by his side, spitting classics like “It Was a Good Day” to a crowd that knew every word. The underdog triumph of the day? New Zealand’s alt-pop gem Balu Brigada made their U.S. festival debut and stole hearts with slick synths, sibling harmonies, and undeniable stage presence. Throughout the day, festival goers enjoyed Lululemon‘s brand-new roller rink, turning a corner of the festival into a retro-chic escape complete with DJs, drinks, and exclusive merch.

By Sunday, the tempo mellowed — but never dulled. Noah Kahan’s heartfelt headlining set brought the weekend to a bittersweet close. Despite a stumble during “New Perspectives,” his authenticity and storytelling shone through, especially on fan-favorite “Stick Season.” While Noah Kahan helped close the festival out with a soothing tone, Cage the Elephant brought the energy up on the opposite stage. Earlier in the day, Khruangbin offered a dreamy, psychedelic journey earlier in the evening, their downtempo funk stretching across the golden hour like silk. Elsewhere, acts like Grace Bowers & The Hodge Podge kept the energy swinging between sweaty dance pits and tender sing-alongs.

This year’s Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage kept its reputation intact as the place where the worlds of food and fame collide. Bobby Flay, Serena Williams, Kate Hudson, and Adam DeVine were just a few of the heavy-hitters who joined musicians like Anthony Kiedis and Gavin Rossdale for live cooking demos full of laughs, surprises, and, of course, flavor.

Towering above the culinary chaos and concert crowds was a festival landmark: the Hendrick’s Gin 3-Story Bar, perched just beside the Williams Sonoma Culinary Stage. Part Victorian steampunk fantasy, part cocktail haven, it was impossible to miss — and unwise to skip. From three stories up, mixologists shook, strained, and poured artisan drinks featuring both classic Hendrick’s Gin and the curious new limited-edition release, Hendrick’s OASIUM. Festival cocktails included:

  • HENDRICK’S CUCUMBER LEMONADE – a revitalizing mix of cucumber juice and lemon wheels.
  • BUTTERFLY EFFECT – a honeydew-kissed herbal delight with aloe liqueur and Jardesca Aperitivo.
  • OASIUM FIZZ – grapefruit-forward and sparkling, showcasing the floral brightness of OASIUM.
  • DESERT SUN – a tangy twist with prickly pear, lime, and the unmistakable snap of Hendrick’s.

Adding to the magic were aerial performers dangling from the rafters, interactive photo ops, and whimsical giveaways. The activation didn’t just serve cocktails — it served theater, spectacle, and unforgettable memories.

Beyond the music and cocktails, BottleRock’s commitment to a fully immersive experience shined. The Silent Disco by Allianz, The Club’s secret DJ sets, family-friendly Little Rockers zone, and a culinary lineup that included everything from caviar corn dogs to Wagyu hot dogs confirmed that this isn’t your average festival — it’s Napa’s crown jewel of culture. In true Napa style, BottleRock 2025 offered a festival where you could chase Green Day into the night, stumble upon a breakout band from Auckland, sip a lavender-cucumber gin fizz while watching an aerialist swing overhead, and learn to flambé from an Iron Chef — all in the same day. BottleRock continues to evolve, but its spirit remains the same: an ode to living deliciously, dancing endlessly, and raising a glass (or three) in one of the world’s most beautiful places.

Mark your calendars: BottleRock Napa Valley is scheduled to take place May 22–24, 2026, and early access tickets will go fast. Having attended four BottleRocks myself, I can personally guarantee—this is not a festival you want to miss. From star-studded cooking demos and chart-topping music to whimsical gin bars and celebrity sightings, BottleRock 2025 was a celebration of everything that makes California’s Wine Country a world-class destination.
