It’s Thursday night and you want to go out but you’re tired of going to the same bar, the same restaurant, tired of the same routine.
What if I told you there’s another option, one that has probably never crossed your mind? Are you ready to try something new, something that will make your senses work in ways you have never experienced?
In the time and age we live now, it all feels like we’ve been there and we’ve done it. America’s first Virtual Reality Cinema and Playlab “Jump Into The Light” is here to fight that concept and allow its users to have an out of world experience by simple putting on goggles. It is amazing how easily the brain can be tricked into thinking something is truly happening just by playing with our vision.
Jump Into The Light is a beautiful combination of technology and art. When one is submerged in this experience, it is hard to keep a grind and even a giggle from happening. They are able to transport you to different places of the world, even places that have been designed, making you feel like you are a traveling in an unreal reality.
If you are an art lover like I am, then your day is about to get better because Jump Into The Light has partnered up with incredible artist Misha Tyutyunik, who will be creating art using the virtual reality gadgets. Beyond The Void will take place on Bowery St. this Thursday the 8th, beginning at 6 pm and ending at 10 pm. Spectators will be able to to walk through Misha’s art as it is being created on the spot! Misha is has gained his fame by using the city of NY as his canvas, painting murals all over. We will now be able to be completely surrounded by his thoughts and creations while being transported to another dimension. In the artist’s words “You are invited to slide down the cerebral cortex and splash into the abyss that is the mind of MDOT.”
DO NOT MISS OUT on this fully immersive, one of a kind experience. You will not regret it.
